Abdollah Bagheri

Abdollah Bagheri was born on January 1, 1960, in Kakolak village, Charmahal Bakhtiari province. His father was an educated pious man, making a living from farming and livestock grazing. After finishing his primary school in his village, Abdollah left his school to help his father in farming.

He was later encouraged to continue his studies in a Seminary in Isfahan. Living away from his family for some years, he completed the first stage of his studies. Around the same time, his younger brother failed to help his father in farming due to some health problems, so he returned to his village to provide his parents with help and care out of his utmost respect for his parents.

Abdollah started his military service in 1979. After that, he was employed as a driver in the Iranian Construction Jihad and got married, and had one child.

Coinciding with the Iraqi imposed war on Iran, he was in charge of delivering donations of his fellow citizens for Iranian troops on the war fronts and carrying the supplies between the Charmahal Bakhtiari’s Service Headquarters and Mariwan’s Central Headquarters. It took some 45 days each time to take the donations to the war fronts.

On October 30, 1980, Abdollah was captured by the Komala terrorist group, when he was on his way to deliver donations to the troops in Islamabad. They killed him after several days of brutal torture. He was laid to rest on November 21, 1982.
