Habilian Association is an Iranian Human Rights NGO established with an aim of elucidating the fact that Iran is one of the biggest victims of terrorism. The devastating toll of terror attacks against the Iranian nation is found to be more than 17000 across the country according to a study by Habilian Association.
Founded in 2005 by a group of families of Iranian terror victims, Habilian Association has been involved in research studies on terrorism case in Iran including the study of terrorist groups such as Mujahedin e-Khalq organization (a.k.a NCRI, MKO, MEK, PMOI, etc.), Jaish al-Adl (an Al-Qaida affiliated terrorist group), PJAK and other groups that have been carrying out terror attacks inside Iran after the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Secretary General of Habilian Association is Mr. Mohammad Javad Hasheminejad. He is the son of late Ayatollah Hasheminejad, a key political figure and a prominent scholar in Iran in early 1980s who was assassinated in a suicide operation by a member of terrorist Mujahedin e-Khalq organization.
