Sakineh Sanadgol was born in 1981 in Southeastern Sistan Baluchistan Province. Having finished his higher education, she married Mohammad Yaser Pordel. Their union was blessed with a child in 2006. Following the birth of their first child, Sanadgol and Pordel, both teachers, changed their working hours in a way that they could take care of their baby in shifts.

Their second child was born on October 9, 2010, and Sakineh named it Sana. Sanadgol used to participate in the mourning ceremonies commemorating the martyrdom of the grandson of Prophet Mohammad, Imam Hussain (A.S.), with her children.

On Wednesday December 15, 2010, Mr. Pordel and his family took part in Tasu’a mourning processions commemorating the martyrdom of the third Shia imam. Although she was not feeling well, Sakineh joined the mourning ceremony because of her wholehearted affection for the infallible progeny of the Seal of the Prophets. In Chabahar, several groups of processions start rallying on the streets from their Hussainieh and then gather in Imam Hussain Mosque and mourn there.

During the processions, two deadly explosions ripped through the innocent civilians who were gathered to mourn the martyrdom of Imam Hussain. Sakineh and her two-month-old were sitting under the shade and watching the mourners when the suicide bombers exploded themselves. Pordel rushed to her wife and suckling, finding them covered in blood after hitting by lethal bomb shrapnel.

That night, Jundallah terrorist group announced in a satellite channel that it had a successful operation in Chabahar and killed a number of Iranian “mercenaries”. While they were mostly women and children who lost their lives in this attack, including two-month-old Sana Pordel, the youngest victim of terrorism in Iran.
