Martyr Jom'eh Sheikhi was born in 1954 in Dehloran County, Ilam Province. He lost his mother during childhood and worked alongside his honorable father to support the family, engaging in farming from a young age. In 1979, when the Iranian people's revolutionary spirit reached its peak, he joined the masses in rising up against the hated Pahlavi regime.
Following the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and during the period when the Dehloran Gendarmerie was vacated, he voluntarily served at various posts such as Nasrian and Chilat, demonstrating his bravery and sense of duty.
With the onset of the Ba'athist Iraqi invasion of Iran, Sheikhi, motivated by a sense of responsibility and in response to the call of his leader, Imam Khomeini (may God bless him), headed to the frontlines of the sacred defense.
In 1981, he was sent by the Gendarmerie battalion on a reconnaissance mission to the Nasrian region. Though he had not seen his family in a long time, he accepted the mission wholeheartedly. That same morning, he encountered a group of cowardly and ruthless MEK terrorists. During the clash, he was wounded in the leg and, after running out of ammunition, was captured.
Despite being taken captive, he resisted the MEK terrorists with unwavering courage. Their attempts to transfer him to Iraq failed due to his defiance. Ultimately, on April 28, 1986, following brutal torture, he was martyred in a horrific and unjust manner by the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) in the border region of Dehloran.
