According to a report by the American website The Intercept, the Pentagon failed to implement any of the required measures to reduce harm to civilians.
The Pentagon's senior watchdog stated in its report that the drastic cuts in funding and personnel of the Office for Civilian Harm Mitigation during the tenure of Pete Hegseth — the U.S. Secretary of War — have effectively eliminated the country's ability to protect civilians in war zones.
According to data from the organization Airwars, the U.S. military killed over 2,000 civilians worldwide during Donald Trump's second presidential term — from Venezuela and Yemen to Iran and Somalia.
During the war with Iran, military investigations revealed that, contrary to Trump's claims, the attack on the Shajareh Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab — which resulted in the deaths of more than 150 civilians, mostly children — was carried out by the United States.
