Martyr Hassan Binabaji

Date of Birth: 1961, Binabaj, Gonabad
Occupation: IRGC member
Date of Assassination: November 9, 1981

Martyr Hassan Binabaji was born in 1981 in Binabaj, Gonabad, into a poor but deeply religious family. From early childhood, he knew poverty and hardship. He completed elementary and middle school with success and went on to study at Navvab Safavi High School. At the height of the Islamic Revolution, he raised his voice against the tyrants of the time and joined street demonstrations alongside the passionate masses. In the Adl-e Khomeini neighborhood of Mashhad, he was known as a devout fighter, and at school, he was recognized as a revolutionary figure. On February 11, Hassan saw his long-held dream come true: the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

After the Revolution's triumph, Martyr Binabaji used the school as a platform to expose the deceptive tactics of anti-revolutionary groups. When the Islamic Revolution was in desperate need of loyal forces, he answered Imam Khomeini's call and joined the Islamic Revolution Committees. When Iraq launched its imposed war against Iran, he—like all eager Iranian youth—headed to the front lines and spent months there.

Upon returning to Mashhad, Hassan found himself facing the MEK terrorist group, which had declared an armed struggle against the Islamic Republic. He could not stay silent in the face of such betrayal. Having witnessed courage and sacrifice on the battlefield, he knew full well that the Revolution's victory had been secured by the blood of thousands of martyrs and wounded veterans. So he launched an unyielding fight against those heartless mercenaries. He was ultimately martyred on the night of November 9, 1981, during a pursuit involving MEK members.

Excerpt from Martyr Hassan Binabaji’s Will:

Greetings to you, my kind and loving father and mother. Greetings to you, who endured hardships and made sacrifices to raise me to this age, so that I could stand selflessly in the army of Islam and, at our Imam's command, rise up against the Ba'athist soldiers and the infidel Saddam, who have risen against the Revolution and Islam.

Muslim brothers and sisters,
Always support this Revolution just as you do now, for your happiness lies in its complete victory… Never neglect the struggle against America, for America is waiting for an opportunity. As our Imam has guided us, strike the great imperialist and devilish Satan in the mouth.
