Seyyed Ali Akbar Shiraziha was born on July 23, 1949, in Varamin, Iran. He completed his education up to the third year of middle school, after which he took up shoemaking to help support his family. He later married and had two sons and four daughters.
Before the Islamic Revolution, he actively opposed the corrupt Pahlavi regime and played a role in encouraging people to participate in anti-regime demonstrations.
Following the victory of the Islamic Revolution, he responded to the call of the great founder of the Revolution by engaging in numerous revolutionary and grassroots activities, regularly taking part in rallies and protests.
Due to his revolutionary activities, Martyr Seyyed Ali Akbar Shiraziha became a target of the Mojahedin-e Khalq (MEK) terrorist group, also known as the Monafeqin (hypocrites). On the evening of April 12, 1984, at 8 p.m., two MEK members on motorcycles threw a grenade into his shoemaking shop on Khajouy-e Kermani Street in Tehran and fled the scene. He succumbed to his severe injuries and lost his life. He was laid to rest in Section 27 of the Behesht Zahra Martyrs’ Cemetery in Tehran.
