The malicious decision by the European Union to designate Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization can be analyzed from several angles. First, in practical terms, this move has little real impact on this powerful military force that defends the Iranian nation and the Islamic Revolution.
The IRGC, as the strong defensive arm of the Iranian people, had already endured years of direct U.S. pressure and sanctions long before the EU’s recent malice. It grew and strengthened under those very pressures and has reached its current level of capability and power.
The European Union, acting as a political, military, and security tool of the United States, lacks any independent strength to challenge the Iranian phoenix. If Europe had real power, it would have pulled Ukraine out of its quagmire instead of running to the White House for help.
Thus, the EU’s recent malice has no ability to create any meaningful disruption for the IRGC in the real world.
The real issue, however, is that despite its ineffectiveness, this action represents an open, explicit, and clear expression of hostility and a step into the anti-Iranian policies of the Americans. This will not be without consequences in future interactions between Tehran and Europe, and Iran will not forget it. The European Union has now officially sided with the American-Zionist axis in the anti-security conflict between the U.S. and the Iranian nation — a position that was already evident during the 12-day war.
At that time, the German Chancellor turned a blind eye to the massacre of more than 70,000 people in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli killing machine and shamelessly welcomed the Zionist regime’s military aggression against Iran. He described the shedding of Iranian blood by the Zionists as “dirty work” carried out on behalf of Europe and the West. Now, the same anti-human outlook labels the IRGC a terrorist organization.
A third point is that while Europeans label the world’s largest anti-terrorism organization as terrorist, they themselves have for decades hosted various separatist and anti-Iranian terrorist groups. These are well-documented terrorists whose hands are stained up to the elbows with the blood of ordinary Iranian citizens.
Iranians have not forgotten that the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq and other separatist terrorist groups — responsible for the massacre of men, women, young and old in streets and alleys, with a record of more than 17,000 victims — long enjoyed the protection of governments such as France, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Germany. Their networks remain active to this day.
Western double standards and anti-human practices have reached the point where the very sponsors of terrorism now pose as accusers and slap the “terrorist” label on the organization that was the main force in uprooting the takfiri terrorist tree of ISIS.
Had it not been for the IRGC and regional resistance groups, Europeans today would be confronting takfiri terrorists in the streets of Paris, Berlin, and Copenhagen.
The Islamic Republic of Iran and its 90 million people will continue on their path of supporting and strengthening their armed forces and the IRGC.
These childish attempts to throw dust in the air will have no effect on the proud path of the Guardians of human dignity — just as they have failed to do so until now. For the Iranian nation and its armed forces, including the IRGC, what greater honor could there be than to be counted among the enemies of Netanyahu and the child abusers of the corrupt hellish island? What greater disgrace could there be for European leaders than standing alongside these pedophiles who embody a collection of satanic traits?
