TEHRAN, Nov. 05 (MNA) – Iran's FM spokesman has extended deep sympathy to Syria over the ISIL deadly car bombing in Deir Ezzor, which killed and wounded scores of people.
In a Sunday statement, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi condoled with the Syrian nation and government and the families of those killed and wounded in the ISIL car bombing in a refugee camp in Syria’s Deir Ezzor.
The Saturday bombing targeted the largest refugee gathering in the region, according to Sana. The terrorist reportedly rammed a booby-trapped car nto the crowd before it blew up.
The attack on civilians comes just a day after the Syrian army announced that it had liberated Deir Ezzor from ISIL terrorists.
Ghasemi went on to add, "such inhumane and brutal acts by the ISIL terrorist group are clear indication of the group’s frustration and defeat."
He further stressed that the end of ISIL is near thanks to the resistance and unity of the Syrian nation and government.
