Martyr Mahmoud Beshmeh was born in 1959 in a village near Noor city. After he grew up, he chose tailoring as his job until he went to serve his military service.

He was serving his military service when the Islamic Revolution started. He fled his garrison under the order of Imam Khomeini. He used to participate in anti Shah Regime protests before the victory of Islamic Revolution. After the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, as the Islamic Revolution Committee had formed, he joined the Committee. As the Iraqi imposed war on Iran started, Mahmoud was dispatched to Marivan fronts and fought the anti-revolutionary mercenaries there for 3.5 months. After that he went to Ilam and continued his service there. He was a very kind person and was committed to observing Islamic laws. He was also very active in public charity works.

On January 26, 1982, as a riot was set in Amol and the conflict had spread across the city streets, martyr Mahmoud Beshmeh said his last prayers, bid farewell to his family and rushed to the streets. He started building a trench and defending the city against terrorist invaders as soon as he reached the street. Mahmoud Beshmeh was martyred in that evening while he was fighting the enemies.
