Riot providing terrorists with best opportunity: Gov't Spox

The Iranian government’s spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi has warned that riot provides hired terrorists with the best opportunity to wreak havoc in Iran.

Bahadori Jahromi wrote on his Twitter account on Saturday: Riot is the best opportunity for the hired terrorists to endanger security, unity, life and assets of the Iranian people.

He also expressed condolences on martyrdom of some security forces as well as civilians in Zahedan, Sistan and Baluchestan province, in southeastern Iran.

Some rioters, affiliated to terrorist and separatist groups, who are well known for the security forces and civilian people, tried to cover up under the face of worshippers following the Friday prayers sermon; then, they embarked on taking hold of security centers.

But security forces stood firm in front of the attackers and pushed them back.

However, the clash left 19 dead and 20 others injured, including some security personnel.

According to the public relation department of the Quds Force of the Southeast IRGC, renowned commander Hamid-Reza Hashemi, the deputy head of the information department of the Salman branch of IRGC in Sistan and Baluchestan province, along with Mohammad-Amin Azarshokr and Mohammad-Amin Arefi were martyred in terrorist raid on military forces following the Friday prayers in Zahedan city.

An informed source said on condition of anonymity that two elements of a terrorist group were killed in the Friday clash.

The security source went on to say that the two terrorists were identified as Abdolmajid Rigi and Yaser Shah Bakhsh, and that the elements tried to provoke people to destroy public properties and kill civilians and security forces.

The Salman branch of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced that its forces and other powerful information, security and policy sections will respond to the mercenaries, who try to sow discord and commit crimes, strongly.
