The MEK terrorist group claimed responsibility for killing 9 IRGC members in Bukan

The terrorist group of MEK took responsibility for killing 9 members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Bukan county in West Azerbaijan in 1983.

According to the Habilian, the MEK terrorist group has confessed to this crime in NO.156 of Mojahed Magazine- the main press organ of the MEK in the early years of the 1980s.

Based on this confession, on May 23, 1983, an IFAI truck of the IRGC, which was traveling on the Bukan-Mahabad route, collided with an anti-tank mine laid by the hypocrites and lead to the death of at least 9 IRGC members.

Setting explosive traps has been one of the common methods of the Peshmergas -MEK’s mercenaries-, using which they have killed a large number of IRGC members in western provinces of the country.

Since its establishment in the first days after the revolution, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has been responsible for guaranteeing security and fighting against terrorist groups and their acts of sabotage and in western provinces of the country. The MEK terrorist group is of the groups that, upon entering the armed struggle phase, moved its main base to the western borders of Iran. This terrorist group recruited local mercenary groups known as Peshmerga in those areas. In such groups, native and Iraqi mercenaries fought a proxy war for the Mujahedin-e Khlaq terrorist group.
