Abbas's meeting with terrorists, regret for Palestinians

TEHRAN, Aug. 02 (MNA) – Iranian diplomat, Amir-Abdollahian, reacted to the latest news of Palestine’s Mahmoud Abbas meeting with the head of currently-defunct terrorist group of Maryam Rajavi.

“The Palestinians surely regret Mahmoud Abbas’s act of supporting terrorist instead of fighting with it,” stated, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the Iranian former Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs and incumbent Parliament Speaker's General Directoe for International Affairs, on Tuesday.

The senior diplomat voiced his protest after Palestinian news sources released photos of Mahmoud Abbas meeting with anti-Iran terrorist, Maryam Rajavi, the so-called president-elect of the self-named National Council of Resistance of Iran which is known by its former name in Iran as Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO).

“Mahmoud Abbas’s problem is that he is not focused on restoring the rights of Palestinians,” the Iranian official has been quoted by the official website of Iran’s Parliament.

Amir-Abdollahian lamented Abbas’s topsy-turvy moves in one day supporting Saudi invasion to Yemen and another day backing terrorista like Rajavi.

“Supporting terrorists instead of fighting them, not only does not lead to the liberation of Quds and weakening the Zionist regime, but also makes the Palestinian nation regret,” said the former deputy foreign minister.
