Saudi sponsoring terrorists to undermine Iran’s security

Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force referred to the support provided by certain Persian Gulf littoral states for the activities of terrorist groups, saying the IRGC is prepared enough to counter any move against the country’s security.

“The fact that organized acts of terrorism are not carried out in Iran today is not because they (terrorists) are unwilling to do so, it is rather because of our preparedness,” Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour said in a press conference held here in Tehran on Sunday.

“Saudi Arabia, through its organized financial aid, is trying to endanger our security today,” Pakpour said, deploring the UAE and Saudis for equipping terrorist groups.

“Terrorists once had equipment problem for clashing with us, but these countries are now providing their equipment today,” he added.

The IRGC Ground Force has accurate intelligence dominance in dealing with anti-Iran threats, said the IRGC commander, stressing that any move against the country’s security is thwarted in the earliest time.

Pakpour had earlier noted that full security prevails along Iran’s borders thanks to the IRGC’s presence and successful operations in recent years.

The ongoing security conditions at Iran’s borderlines are incomparable with the past, when terrorist and anti-Revolution elements were being fought off inside the country’s territories, the commander said at a cultural ceremony in Tehran.
