Iran seeking extradition of 166 MKO members: ambassador

The Iranian ambassador to Iraq has said that the Islamic Republic is making diplomatic efforts to extradite 166 members of the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization who have innocent people’s blood on their hands.

A number of MKO members are willing to return to Iran, Ambassador Hassan Danaiifar told the Persian service of the Mehr News Agency in an interview published on Monday.

To date, some 1600 MKO terrorists have been transferred from Camp Ashraf to Camp Liberty which lies northeast of the Baghdad International Airport in four groups of 400 each, on February 18, 8, March 20, and April 16. Some 1400 members of the cult at Camp Ashraf are waiting to be transfered to Camp Liberty.

According to Kurdistan News Agency, the fifth group refused to be moved to Camp Liberty amid disputes over the transferal and sale of their property.
