Iraqi MP: MKO spends huge sums on speaking fees in Iraq

A member of the Iraqi parliament revealed that Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK, a.k.a. MKO and PMOI) pays 5000 dollars per month in speaking fees to al-Iraqiya bloc's spokesman Haidar al-Mulla.

“This group (MKO) pays huge sums of money each month to some Iraqi politicians and journalists to support its stay in Iraq and criticize government’s policies (toward MKO)”, the official told Habilian on condition of anonymity.

“MKO pays 5000 dollars to Haidar al-Mulla, al-Iraqiya bloc's spokesman, every month for his taking a stand against the government and supporting Munafeqin-e Khalq’s stay in Iraq,” said the official, adding “they also pay the money to spreading lies about Iran.

Haidar al-Mulla is a lawmaker from the Sunni-backed al-Iraqiya bloc, an anti-government political party headed by former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, who has presented speeches on behalf of the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq organization.

“As well as Haidar al-Molla, Zafer al-Ani, an official of the al-Iraqiya, Sarmad Abdul Karim, director of the Iraqi News Agency, Safi al-Yaseri, Iraqi journalist, also receive payments from Mujahedin-e Khalq,” he added.

The official finally warned MKO infiltration into Iraqi politicians and their influence over the media.
