Martyr Ali Akbar Davarzani

Ali Akbar Davarzani was on his way to Shiraz when he and his cousin had a short stop in Tehran to say their prayers. They were martyred of a bombing in Tehran’s Imam Mosque while talkig to their Lord in prayer.

Ali Akbar Davarzani was born in a village called Davarzan, Sabzevar in Khorasan Province I 1959 into a farmer family known for their devotion to Islam. He spent his primary schoolin the village. Unable to relocate to city in order to attend secondary school, he was forced to leave education and be a help to the family. He was known as a pious young boy who was cared about praying on time and respecting his parents. He was also an active youth in Muharram who contributed to holding mourning sessions commemorating Imam Hussein’s martyrdom.

“I begged Allah through Imam Hussein (AS) to bestow on me a son who would be a full follower ad servant of the Prophet Muhammad’s holy family,” his mother says. “He proved to be a good servant by being martyred.”
