Martyr Ali Mohammad Majidi

In December 1946, in the land of resilience and honor—the city of Kermanshah—a child was born who was named Ali Mohammad. He was raised in a devout and committed family, but very early in his childhood, he tasted the bitterness of orphanhood, losing his father. Yet this great loss did not break him; on the contrary, it steeled his resolve to build a better future.

Ali Mohammad Majidi endured the hardships of his orphaned years with indescribable perseverance and traversed the path of knowledge until he reached its heights. In 1970, he earned his master's degree in road and building engineering. But his great and committed spirit was never satisfied with knowledge without action. In the years before the Revolution, he stood alongside those fighting the tyrannical regime, fulfilling his duty to the people and the nascent Islamic Revolution.

With the glorious victory of the Islamic Revolution, Mr. Majidi immediately joined the ranks of the revolutionary companions and became a member of the Islamic Republic Party. His expertise and dedication led to his appointment, in October 1979, as the Deputy for Construction Affairs to the Governor of Tehran. In this crucial position, he girded his resolve to eliminate deprivation from the face of villages and strove with all his might for reconstruction and service to the underprivileged.

With the onset of the imposed war in September 1980, martyr Majidi once again answered the call of conscience and duty, heading to the battlefronts in the west of the country. Alongside the brave fighters of the IRGC and the army, he fused his stronghold of knowledge and expertise with the stronghold of defending the homeland. After returning from the frontlines, in May 1981, he was selected as the Construction Advisor to the Ministry of Interior, in recognition of his competence and efficiency, so that he could serve the beloved people of Iran on a broader scale.

But destiny had reserved a glorious end for this great man. On the seventh day of July 1981, while he was present at the central headquarters of the Islamic Republic Party on Sarcheshmeh Street in Tehran, in the horrific bomb blast carried out by the malevolent MEK elements, he succumbed to the severity of his injuries, including a severe head trauma. He achieved his long-held aspiration—meeting the Divine.

Martyr Ali Mohammad Majidi, at the age of 35 added another golden page to the history of the Islamic Revolution. He taught us that one can be both an expert and a devoted individual; one can strive for the prosperity of people's worldly lives while also giving one's precious life for divine nearness. May his soul rest in peace, and may his path be ever followed.
