In the 38th session of the trial of 104 members of the Hypocrites group, the plaintiffs' lawyer emphasized the group's cooperation with hostile governments, including the Zionist regime in the 12-Day War, and presented evidence from the group's internal publications and member confessions. He also referred to the group's role in disclosing Iran's nuclear information and assassinating nuclear scientists, and demanded a verdict of "Corruption on Earth" for the organization's leaders.
The defendants' lawyer objected to the trial process, demanding the return of the case to the prosecutor's office for complete preliminary investigations and rejecting the blanket attribution of charges to all defendants. The court judge, citing legal articles, confirmed the court's competence to complete the investigations and announced that it would not address new crimes committed by the Zionist regime but would address charges related to selling confidential information to this regime.
West Asia affairs expert Morteza Simiari presented an expert opinion on the intelligence and security cooperation between the MEK and Mossad and referred to the group's role in cyber warfare and terrorist actions against Iran. He also addressed the Albanian government's new perception of the threats posed by the presence of the MEK in that country after the 12-Day War.
Later in the session, Hadi Behnoud, the son of Martyr Hossein Behnoud, shared memories of the assassination of his father and brother by the MEK and demanded follow-up and punishment for the perpetrators of these crimes. The plaintiffs' lawyer, referring to the MEK's numerous crimes against the Iranian people, also called on the deceived members of this group to repent and return to the embrace of their homeland.
