Iran denounces terrorist blasts in Syrian cities

TEHRAN, Sep. 06 (MNA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi strongly condemned chain terrorist attacks in Syrian government-held areas.

At least 48 people were killed, dozens wounded in five blasts on Monday in the coastal city of Tartous, the central city of Homs and the suburbs of the capital Damascus, as well as the northeastern city of Hasaka, which is mostly controlled by Kurdish forces but where the Syrian government maintains a presence.

Ghasemi expressed sympathy with the people and government of Syria, saying takfiri terrorists with their Wahhabi supporters target civilians which proves their weakness and defeat in their political dreams in the region leading to such terrible crimes, painful and embarrassing scenes in Syria, Iraq and Yemen.

The international communities should stop indifference to the perpetrators and sponsors of these shameful crimes and seriously work on the implementation of their fundamental, historical, legal and humanitarian responsibility to tackle the root causes of takfiri terrorism.
