West stance on Iran's execution of terrorists interference

TEHRAN, Aug. 06 (MNA) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi slammed the rigid stance of European countries and US on Iran’s execution of terrorists, calling it a clear intervention in domestic affairs of a country.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has always adopted a firm policy in the fight against terrorism and terrorist groups supported by foreign countries in the region,” Ghasemi asserted adding that while Iran is a victim of terrorism, it will spare no effort to secure its nation.

He expressed regret over the position of some Western officials on the execution of a number of terrorists in Iran, regardless of their crimes against the Iranian nation.

“According to information received from the judicial resources, the terrorists were trying to form a Takfiri terrorist group inside the country, to carry out armed operations, to commit terror and to slaughter innocents, especially some Sunni scholars, and also to provide multiple war weapons and bombs,” he noted.

Bahram Ghasemi asserted that Islamic Republic of Iran accordingly deals with such acts, and concluded by calling on western countries to work for an international coalition and unity in efforts on eradicating extremist terrorism and ISIL, and avoid double standards in fighting against terrorism.
