Iranian legislator: Everyone feels the threat of terrorism

An Iranian lawmaker said the National Congress of 17000 Terror Victims should be held as an International Conference in the next years.

“The Congress of 17000 Iranian Terror Victims can play a comprehensive role in affecting region and the world,” MP Javad Karimi of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee told Habilian Association.

He went on to urge the establishment of the permanent secretariat of the Congress.

The Iranian legislator made reference to Mujahedin-e Khalq terrorist group, and stressed the necessity of introducing the group-let to the world.

Javad Karimi said terrorism is whether blind or targeted. “Blind terrorism is like a car bombing which may kill hundreds, and the targeted assassination is like killing of Imam Ali (in 661), and assassination of Martyrs Hasheminejad, Beheshti, and some other high-ranking officials.”

He added that the terrorist MKO group has targeted assassinations on its agenda.

Representing the people of Mashhad in Iranian Parliament, Karimi emphasized on the convergence of different countries on the fight against terrorism, and advised on signing an international agreement on fighting against terrorism with various International NGOs.

He added that today all societies are facing terrorism and everyone around the world feels the threat of terrorism.
