Hours after a massive, million-strong rally across various cities in Iran condemning the chaos and terrorist acts of armed criminal groups, the European Parliament, which has consistently demonstrated its disdain for the Iranian people by inviting separatist and anti-Iranian terrorist groups, announced a worthless measure to ban the entry of Iranian diplomats and officials to the Parliament in a bid to support dying unrest.
The President of the European Parliament, whose institution failed to take any effective action over the past two years regarding war crimes and inhumane acts committed by the occupying Zionist regime against the defenseless people of Gaza and hundreds of journalists, now refers to those groups responsible for the brutal killings of countless civilians, protesters, bystanders, and police officers as "freedom fighters."
In recent years, the European Parliament has consistently hosted terrorist groups and Iranian separatists along with their leaders. The repeated invitations extended to the leader of the terrorist group Mojahedin-e Khalq, despite its notorious criminal and terrorist history, as well as the hosting of several leaders from violent separatist groups from western Iran and rolling out the red carpet for them, raises the question: do these actions not reflect the double standards of human rights upheld by this European institution and its disregard for the beliefs and history of the Iranian people?
For the vast majority of Iranians, the European Parliament's welcome of anti-Iranian terrorist groups serves not only as a source of frustration or anger but as a confirmation of the unjust, hypocritical, and ignorant behavior of European officials towards Iranians. Similarly, the Parliament's recent decision regarding Iranian diplomats is more a testament to the continuation of previously lamentable practices than a setback for Iran. This ongoing support for terrorists and insistence on perpetuating such misguided approaches is indeed troubling.
