According to Habilian, continuing their bombings aimed at weakening the Islamic system and portraying society as insecure, the MKO terrorist group committed another crime on Khayyam Street in Tehran.
The Kayhan newspaper reporter's account of this terrorist act by the MEK terrorist group is as follows:
"Around 1:07 PM on Wednesday, April 9, 1986, a bomb with the destructive power of 25 pounds, with an electrical and timed mechanism containing TNT, planted inside a cloth package hidden in a pistachio-colored Ford van, exploded. It shattered windows of shops and buildings within a 110-meter radius, causing partial and total damage to four cars parked by the street. Also, one shop sustained total damage and 30 other shops received partial damage."
The report indicates: "With the deafening sound of the explosion, people from the area gathered at the scene and, along with relief forces including police, fire department, and Committee guards of the Islamic Revolution, began transporting the injured."
As a result of this explosion, a 67-year-old man named Lotf-Ali Haji Hosseini was martyred.
