Martyr Eshrat Eskandari

She was born on September 12, 1956, in Firuzkuh County. Her father, Habibollah, was a butcher, and her mother was named Robabeh. Like her mother, she was a housewife. After marriage, she had three sons and three daughters.

She was ultimately martyred on August 26, 1982, in Tehran by elements of the MEK terrorist group due to gunshot wounds to the chest and face.

Masoumeh Eskandari, her daughter who was six years old at the time of the incident, says about her mother's martyrdom:

"On the morning of August 26, 1982, someone suddenly started banging on the door. With trembling hands, I opened it. Suddenly, two people, one of whom had a machine gun slung over his shoulder, savagely threw me aside and quickly made their way inside the house. Upon seeing them, my mother chanted 'Death to the hypocrites at them. Upon hearing 'Death to the hypocrites and 'Death to America,' they mercilessly shot her in front of her four young children. She chanted 'Death to the hypocrites eight times, and eight bullets struck her chest. She fell to the ground, immersed in blood, and they also martyred our guests, who were a newlywed couple, and wounded my sister."
