Iran FM Voices Concerns over Takfiri Terrorists’ Acts in W. Africa

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian offered concern over extremist and takfiri terrorists’ activities in Burkina Faso and in the West African region.

Amir Abdollahian made the remarks in a phone call with Burkina Faso's Foreign Minister Olivia Rouamba.

Referring to the importance of the African continent in Iran’s foreign policy, he stressed Iran's serious determination to develop relations with the continent, including Burkina Faso.

He also stressed Iran’s readiness to hold the joint cooperation commission.

Meanwhile, Rouamba expressed hope for developing relations.

Expressing interest in developing politico-economic relations with Iran, she called for the expanding scientific-technical cooperation and receiving assistance from Iran.

As a country that has been involved with terrorism for years, Iran can share its experiences with Burkina Faso, she noted.
