Secretary-General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought rebuked division, sacrilege, and Takfir (ex-communication) in the world of Islam and said any voice which disrespects Muslims is a voice in favor of world arrogant powers.

Outstanding Shia cleric, Sheikh Hamid Shahriari, in his remarks at a webinar on Tahrir Al-Quds (liberation of al-Quds) held on Monday denounced desecration and Takfir in the world of Islam calling the satellite channels working in favor of desecration of Islamic denominations as the tongue of arrogant powers.

He said," Those who fund such satellite channels are in fact funding both sides to provoke them for insulting each other and fuel the fire of division in the unified Islamic ummah" and added," We can set the International Quds Day and guidelines of late Imam Khomeini (RA) as axes for boosting solidarity in the world of Islam."

The cleric referred to the International Quds Day marked on the last Friday in the holy month of Ramadan and said the naming of the day as the grounds for more solidarity among Muslims which is a great objective of the holy Qur'an.

He said," Holy Qur'an calls us all to build a unified ummah (nation) and stand in the light of the holy religion."

He counted hostility with enemies of Islam and kindness towards their religious brothers as two features for followers of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

"It was for the same reason, boosting solidarity among Muslims, that late Imam Khomeini (RA) proposed the last Friday in Ramadan as a day for supporting al-Quds and call for liberation of Palestine," said the scholar.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Shahriari slammed Israeli endeavors for introducing Jerusalem al-Quds as its capital and noted," Al-Quds is the axis of unity and the first Qibla (praying direction) of Muslims and the land belongs to all Muslims."

Secretary-General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought called the International Quds Day as the day for the unity of Muslim world and condemnation of oppression by arrogant powers.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari made the comments at the webinar on the liberation of Quds attended by a number of Shia and Sunni elites from across the globe to discuss their views on the history of the al-Quds and occupation of the holy land by the Israeli regime.
