‘Iran, allies’ efforts in war on terror fruiting in Syria’

TEHRAN, Nov. 16 (MNA) –Iranian Deputy FM Jaberi Ansari who is visiting Damascus, met with Syrian FM Muallem on Wednesday and told the media that the efforts to eliminate terrorism in Syria are fruiting results.

“We have garnered significant success in fighting terrorism and this trnd should be completed,” said Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari while addressing journalists asking him about his meeting with Syrian FM.

He made the remarks late on Wednesday after meeting with the Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem in Damascus.

“At political level and political initiatives we have made remarkable progress and the accomplishments should be completed and stabilized,” he maintained.

“The day before we were in Moscow and we held some meetings with officials there that the results will be wrapped up in next stations of my regional tour,” said the Iranian deputy FM for Arab and African affairs.

“The main objective of visit to Damascus is to get updated and coordinated in regards to the latest regional developments and Syrian field developments to coordinate for future measures,” recounted the Iranian diplomat.

“We would not allow those who have lost in the battlefield to gain back in political negotiations,” Mr. Jaberi Ansari affirmed.
