Iran slams deadly suicide attack in Kabul

TEHRAN, Jul. 24 (MNA) – Iran's FM spokeswoman has strongly condemned today’s suicide bombing in Afghanistan's capital city that left dozens dead and injured.

Bahram Ghasemi expressed his deepest grief over the death of the innocent Afghan civilians, and condoled with the government, nation and the bereaved families of the victims.

“Despite the violent, brutal and inhumane acts of extremist and terrorist groups, the wounded Afghan nation and the government will continue to fight against extremism and violence, and in this difficult path the Iranian people and government will always be next to them,” Ghasemi noted.

At least 24 people have been killed and more than 40 wounded after a suicide car bomb targeted a bus carrying ministry staff of the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum in Afghanistan's capital Kabul on Monday; Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.
