TEHRAN, Jul. 11 (MNA) – IRGC Quds Force Commander Maj. Gen. Ghasem Soleimani stressed that some issues are not solvable through diplomacy as it could not account for the unity created by the sacrifice of martyrs in oppressed nations.
He made the remarks in the 40th day after martyrdom of Shrine Defender Sha’ban Nasiri on Monday.
The blood of martyr Nassiri and of other Iranian martyrs, are not the blood of one person, but a measure of a great nation's faith and loyalty in support of an oppressed country. Which diplomacy can give reasons for such sacrifices?, he noted.
“The humanity is beholden to Iraqi and Syrian people for their fight with such a dangerous phenomenon,” said the commander of Revolutionary Guards Corps, referring to the recent victory of Iraqi nation in Mosul.
"The world is beholden to Iraqi and Syrian people in sacrificing thousands of their young children; this victory, also, derives from the wisdom and dignity of a prominent cleric in Iraq Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani," Soleymani said.
Noting that the phenomenon of ISIL of this type is unparalleled in history, General Soleimani said “no media can publish their images, because they are very frivolous; they have killed many girls, women, children and men in the most brutal manner, they showcase their barbaric and brutal beheadings; this terrible crime is rare in human history, and it is not a minor phenomenon."
Today, Soleimani added, the victory is not only for Iraqi nation, but for all humanity. “Some initially thought that it was a conflict between Sunni and Shia, but they witnessed they themselves were involved too, so this is a victory for all the people and countries in the region, and the two countries are beholden to the world with the sacrifices of thousands of martyrs."
Soleimani underlined that hundreds of commanders and soldiers of Iraqi forces were martyred against the terrorists; "yet today they are independent enough and do not need foreign aid; today, those who are inclined to survive in Iraq must know that the Iraqi army, government forces and people will not allow them to interfere further in their affairs."
