A number of Iraqi media figures met Secretary General of Habilian Association (families of Iranian terror victims).
Mohammad javad Hasheminejad said “our common enemies have put their back to separate the Iranian and Iraqi nations in the past 40 years,” Habilian Association news website reported. “However, the two nations are reunited once more,” Hasheminejad added.
Hasheminejad referred to the US-backed Saddam’s war against Iran as one of the bloodiest wars in the past century, insisting that “the enemies were defeated and the two nations were reunited” despite “all facilities were provided to Saddam to destroy the newly established Islamic Republic”.
Iraq is not a place for the US to stay in
“The Americans had plans to stay in Iraq. After a while, however, they got to know they had no place there. Therefore, they started spreading discord and hypocrisy in the country in order to extend their presence,” Habilian Association SG stated.
He also blamed the US and Saudi Arabia for supporting terrorism in Iraq that caused one million deaths, adding that “years before the US occupied Iraq, terrorist groups, especially the Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) had played a key role in spreading terrorism in Iraq by assassinating 25,000 Iraqis”.
US deceptive face in the region
“The US policies seem very humanitarian and charming, but in fact, their real face shows the depth of their hostility towards the Islamic countries, especially Iraq,” Secretary General of Habilian Association said, describing the American authorities and their policies as “hypocritical”.

Referring to the assassination of elite in Iran and Iraq by terrorists, he said that the enemies of Iran and Iraq “have martyred many of the people who just strived to serve their nations”.
Clarifying the KSA role in the region he added: “Saudi Arabia’s activities in Iraq have dropped dramatically since the awakening movements in the region. This shows where the riots in Iraq are coming from and who supports them.”
The MKO has penetrated into some of the Iraqi local governments
Abd al-Khaliq Fawzi Abd al-Majid, the head of Radio Samarra, pointed out the fact that the MKO has started a great effort to infiltrate the Iraqi local governments, insisting that “to expel the MKO from Iraq, what we really need is the unity of Iraqi people”.
Public effort to stop the US cultural onslaught
Tahhan al-Zawi, an Iraqi writer present in the meeting, described the US presence in Iraq as a “cultural assault”, saying that Iraq needs “a lot of cultural centers to avoid these assaults”.
Journalists’ death is the price for freedom
“We have been paying for our freedom by our blood,” said Samir Fadhil, Iraqi journalist, referring to the efforts done by the Iraqi people to regain the country’s freedom. He also included that 526 journalists have been killed since the invasion of Iraq by the US.
