The 19th session of the court hearing charges against 104 members of the Mujahedin-e Khalq organization and the organization's legal status, commenced on Wednesday, September 24th.
According to Habilian, this session is taking place at Branch 11 of the Tehran Provincial Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Hojat-ol-Islam Dehqani, and attended by court advisors Morteza Turak and Amin Naseri, the prosecutor's representative, families of martyrs and their lawyers, as well as the defendants' lawyers. The proceedings are being held publicly at the Imam Khomeini Judicial Complex.
At the outset of the session, Judge Dehqani officially opened the court and announced that due to a letter received from one of the defendants' lawyers who was unable to attend, another lawyer had been appointed to represent those clients in accordance with legal procedures.
He emphasized that the Iranian people have been among the greatest victims of terrorism worldwide, having suffered numerous martyrs. Those who oppose the Iranian revolution, harbor enmity towards the Iranian people, and seek to undermine the nation's independence by aligning themselves with foreign powers have committed heinous acts against Iran.
