Families of Terror Victims Express Sympathy with the Japanese Ambassador

Iranian families of terror victims penned a letter of condolence for the assassination of the Japanese Prime Minister to the ambassador of this country in Tehran.

According to Habilian, the message sent to Japanese ambassador to Tehran emphasized the fact that terrorism threatens the peace and security of nations and jeopardizes innocent lives for the sake of terrorists’ political and ideological purposes while criticizing the double standard of supporters of terrorism regarding the assassination of former president and prime minister of Iran.

The message reads as follows:

Initially, on behalf of the families of Iranian terror victims, we would like to express our condolences on the July 8 tragic terrorist incident in Nara city and the loss of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Undoubtedly, regardless of where it is and by which country it is sponsored, terrorism is deplorable and condemned. It threatens the peace and security of societies and jeopardizes innocent lives for terrorists’ political and ideological purposes.

Families of terror victims in Iran, as one of the largest communities of victims of terrorism in the world, have sustained a tremendous loss of more than 17,000 innocent civilian lives over the last four decades, by terrorists who have been officially supported by some foreign countries. Because of the hostility of such countries to the political system of Iran, these groups and their terrorist acts were not condemned.

Assassination of Mr. Rajaei and Mr. Bahonar, the former Iranian prime minister and president on August 30, 1981, by the Mojahedin-e Khalq terrorist group was never denounced like the case of Shinzo Abe by these countries. This issue indicates both oppression of the Iranian nation and double standards of western countries in dealing with terrorism.

Iranian families of terror victims hope that Shinzo Abe’s assassin and terrorists who assassinated the former Iranian prime minister and president along with more than 17,000 citizens will be brought to justice and the ominous phenomenon of terrorism will be tackled without political considerations.
