MKO claims responsibility for assassination of a shopkeeper and a committee member

The Mujahedeen e-Khalq terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the assassination of shopkeeper and a committee member in Tehran, in 1982.

The Mujahedeen e-Khalq terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the assassination of a carpenter in Tehran, in 1982.

According to Habilian Association database (Specialized Center of Research on the MKO's Crimes), the MKO terrorist group has made the confession in No. 134 of the Mujahid Journal, the group’s main press organ during early years of the 80s.

According to this news that the MKO’s publication has referred to it as a document for its bravely operations, on October 23, 1982, an operational unit of MKO after a reconnaissance mission, assassinated and killed a man named Davod Nazemolboka in his shop in Tehran.

The news adds that the terrorists, after completion of the operation and leaving the shop, shoot at a committee member with a machine gun. Islamic Revolution Committees or Committees of Islamic Revolution, simply known as the "Committee", was a Law Enforcement force in Iran acting under Ministry of Interior. Founded as one of Organizations of the Iranian Revolution in 1979, it was eventually merged with Shahrbani and Gendarmerie to form Law Enforcement Force of Islamic Republic of Iran (NAJA) in 1991.
