Hasheminejad referring to the Iraqi deadline for dissolution of Camp Ashraf by year end, stated: “Since Iraqi government has explicitly declared deadline for this terrorist cell by the end of 2011, the West is putting up a struggle to find another suitable place for them.” |
In an interview with Tehran e Emrouz Daily, Mohammad Javad Hasheminejad, the Secretary-General of Habilian Association (families of 17,000 Iranian terror victims), pointed to the call of Iraqis people regarding the expulsion of the MKO terrorist organization from their territory, he added: “this is obvious that both Iraqi people and their government decided to expel the MKO from their soil. They have taken the decision from the very beginning of the establishment of their government and they call for the dissolution of Camp Ashraf.
Insisting that no country is willing to shelter MKO members, he stated: “this illegal organization asks for a large-scale exit, if it forced to leave Iraq.”
“According to UNHCR rules and procedures, if MKO members want to leave Iraq, they have to do it one by one", Hasheminejad said. " Moreover, the red cross should ensure that they will never get back to the MKO terrorist organization”, he added.
He referred to US reluctance for accepting anti-Iran terrorist organization Mujahedin-e Khalq and said: “although it was US army in Iran and Iraq for years, they are not willing to resettle them.” He added “it has two reasons, one is that this organization is very dangerous and each of its members is like a movable and destructive bomb, thus they are unwilling to accept them” the second reason is, he added: “for carrying out some of the policies of the west. As some the highest US officials declared that MKO’s mission is to commit the evil acts that US fell short of doing due to the international pressures.”

He also referred to the firm decision of Iraqi government for expelling MKO terrorist from their country and said: “foreign states should do something for resettling MKO terrorists in their countries, if they are concerned about the human rights issues of closing down of Camp Ashraf.” He added: “Donald Rumsfeld Secretary of Defense of the U.S. under the Bush administration, the belligerent occupant of Iraq, took them under Fourth Geneva Convention, though it does not apply to MKO members.” He explained: “because it is a militia and it has military armament.”
In the end the Secretary General of Habilian Association pointed to the US support for MKO illegal organization and at the same time keeping it in its blacklist and stated: “This point indicates the dual-faced policy towards terrorism.”
