President Rouhani sent a message to the Prime Minister of Iraq, Haider al-Abadi to congratulate him and the Iraqi nation on the liberation of the major city of Iraq, Mosul.
President's message is as follows:
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Your Excellency Mr Haider al-Abadi,
The Honourable Prime Minister of Iraq,
The liberation of the biggest city controlled by ISIS in Iraq, putting an end to the oppression of its people and freeing it from the crime and violence, which was second to none in the recent centuries in the region, to your Excellency and the dear Iraqi people.
This great victory, which bore fruit because of cooperation, coordination, devotion and attempts by the hard-working people and the military forces and the brave Popular Mobilization Forces with the support of neighbouring countries, is the indicator of the importance of real fight against criminals who displayed violence and cruel slaughter under the name of Islam.
The Islamic Republic of Iran shares this happiness and liberation from cruelty and savagery, expressing willingness to continue the fight against the criminals in all fields throughout the region.
