‘Mujahedin-e Khalq resists against relocation’

Seyyed Mohammad Javad Hasheminejad interviewed with Khorasan daily newspaper about recent remarks of Mujahedin-e Khalq leadership on the sidelines of a press conference held Thursday in the city of Brussels expressing her willingness to negotiate with Iraqi government.

“Although the United Nations certified that Camp Liberty meets all international standards (and is now ready) for relocation of Camp Ashraf residents, MKO resists against the relocation to somehow dawdling on it,” he said in response to the question about motives behind MKO’s asking for negotiations with the government of Iraq.

“Dawdling on the relocation is because they very well know that the collapse of the Ashraf garrison is a heavy blow to their organization,” added the son of martyr Seyyed Abdulkarim Hasheminejad.

“As some officials of Islamic Republic of Iran have already warned, the MKO is looking for conflict in Iraq to prevent the evacuation of the Camp by their propaganda machine,” he continued.

Hasheminejad said that it shows Mujahedin-e Khalq organization "does not adhere even to the solutions of its allies.

”Earlier on Thursday, Maryam Rajavi expressed her willingness to travel to Baghdad and negotiate with the Iraqi government in the presence of the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq.

But the leadership of the coalition of state law and lawmaker Abbas al-Bayati refused any decision of the government to conduct negotiations with Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK, also MKO, PMOI) leadership, saying, Iraqi government negotiates with governments not organizations and groups.
