Iranian Foreign Ministry revises its blacklist of US officials who assist MKO terrorist organization

Iran's Foreign Ministry has revised its list of sanctioned past and present American officials and persons who have openly supported the anti-Iran terrorist Mujahedin-e-Khalq Organization (MKO).

The ministry said in a statement on Saturday that 61 US citizens had been designated in accordance with an Iranian law titled "Countering Violations of Human Rights and Adventurist and Terrorist Actions of the United States of America in the Region," specifically Article 4, which was passed by Iran's Parliament in August 2017.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and former White House National Security Advisor John Bolton are among those who have been banned for attending terror organization meetings. Senators Ted Cruz and Bob Menendez are also named as additional individuals.

According to the ministry, US officials have helped the MKO terrorist organization by participating in its gathering, recognizing their terrorist crimes and aims, and giving political and propaganda assistance.

The MKO, as per the statement, has plotted and carried out innumerable terrorist actions over the last decades, killing thousands of innocent citizens, particularly women and children.
