Iranian cleric, Hojjatol-Islam Hossein Qoddusi, was wounded in the holy city of Karbala in March 3, 2013, when a suicide bomber blew himself up in an area between major holy shrines in the Iraqi holy city. He was rushed to hospital, but died of his severe injuries.
The suicide bomber, identified as an engineer who infiltrated into the bridge construction company working in the area, detonated his explosives between the holy shrine of Imam Hossein and Hazrat Abbas among a crowd of Shia pilgrims.
