President Rouhani expressed condolences over martyrdom of eight Iranian border guards in Chaldoran and called on intelligence and security officials to identify and punish the perpetrators.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Martyrdom of eight courageous border guards in Chaldoran border area by promoters of terror and violence while we are nearing Arba'een, caused great grief and sorrow for the great nation of Iran.
I hereby express my condolences over martyrdom of these loved ones, and urge intelligence and security authorities to identify and punish the perpetrators of this painful crime as soon as possible and with due diligence.
I ask the Almighty high places for the martyrs and patience for their respectable families.
