Iranians turn out in huge numbers for presidential election

Iranian people took to the ballot boxes on Friday to participate in 2017 presidential and municipal council election in a show of national unity and solidarity. More than 40 million Iranians have reportedly participated in this year's election making a total turnout of more than 71 percent. As advised earlier by the Supreme Leader of Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Khamenei, everyone entered the arena and participated to show that they are ready to support and defend the Islamic Republic of Iran and to preserve the security of the country.
