First Vice President Ishaq Jahangiri who was talking about the ceasefire agreed between Russia and the United States and started today, asserted that the Americans have always used such an opportunity to buy time for terrorists to reinforce and reorganize.
Jahangiri emphasized that any chance has to be seized to prevent killing of more human beings in Syria; “both Russians who are now actively involved in Syrian battlefield as well as Syrian government itself are well aware of this experience that the United States abuses ceasefires and they are vigilant in this regard.”
He expressed hope that the recent ceasefire would last and help more lives be saved.
Iranian first VP also dubbed the situation in Syria as complicated and highlighted that the terrorist groups must not be allowed to remain in Syria and must be uprooted from the country.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran has spent a lot to fight against terrorism in Syria and Iraq and has prevented contagion of terrorism to other Islamic countries,” he concluded.
