Parliamentarian survives armed attack

TEHRAN, Jul. 10 (MNA) – A Principlist Parliamentarian who represents Gilan Gharb, a constituency in western province of Kermanshah, has survived an armed attack which killed his driver.

Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh who was visiting his constituency on Sunday along with a group of local government officials including Dalahou governor, fell target to 4 armed unknown men who attacked their car in Rijab, 120km northwest of Kermanshah, the local media quoted Farhad Tajarri, Gilan Gharb representative in the Parliament as saying.

“Mr. Falahatpisheh had plans to address a public meeting where the event befell upon him; the armed group fired the car carrying Mr. Falahatpisheh, set fire on their own car and escaped the scene; the driver and another official, namely, the head of Health House Network of the province died and Dalahou governor and head of Fishery Office were wounded,” he detailed. “Mr. Falahatpisheh however survived with only minor injuries.”
