Iran slams Lebanon terror attack

TEHRAN, Jun. 14 (MNA) – Iran’s FM Spokesman Jaberi Ansari condemned Sunday’s terrorist bomb attack in the Lebanese capital Beirut, which targeted a major bank and injured a number of people.

Hossein Jaberi Ansari, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, condemned the terrorist bomb attack in the Lebanese capital Beirut, saying the attack has been carried out with an aim to disrupt the security and stability of this country.

The Iranian diplomat reaffirmed the Islamic Republic’s support for the stability and security of Lebanon as well as the efforts of the country’s government and nation in confronting terrorism, and called on all groups and political and religious leaders of Lebanon to command vigilance and discretion to strengthen the country’s security and neutralize the plots of terrorists and their covert allies.

The bombing outside the main Blom Bank building in Beirut on Sunday night caused damage but no fatalities. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
