News about Iran's involvement in terrorism false: Pakistani minister

Pakistani Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan has asked the country's media not to spread false news about the involvement of Iran in terrorism in Pakistan.

“Although the RAW agent has been arrested from Pak-Iran border but Iran has never been involved in spreading militancy in Pakistan,” he stated.

He said Iran is the oldest friend of Pakistan. “The news of Iranian involvement has increased apprehension among the Iranian leadership, after which I have talked to Iranian diplomat in Pakistan and addressed their concerns,” Nisar continued. “Iranian President has even said that Iran’s security is directly linked to Pakistani security. We want to increase our relations with Iran and so the media should refrain from such reporting which can have negative ramifications."

Pakistan's Interior Minister said the issue is with India and it will be resolved. “Bad Pak-Iran relations will benefit many naysayers, so we have to be careful,” he reiterated.

At the end the Pakistani official said the government has talked to the Iranian leadership and has resolved the issues.
