The secretary of the Expediency Council said Tehran and New Delhi can play a crucial role in fighting terrorism.

Mohsen Rezaei made the remarks in a meeting with Indian Ambassador to Iran Saurabh Kumar on Thursday, IRNA reported.

“Iran and India can play a crucial role in fighting terrorism through strategic cooperation,” Rezaei said.

He reiterated that Iran and India as two key players of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) should adopt a new outlook in a bid to broaden their bilateral ties and pave the way for boosting cooperation.
